He made the remarks at a bilateral meeting with Executive Deputy Director of the Administrative Committee of Guangxi Pingxiang Integrated Free Trade Zone Wang Fanghong held on the sidelines of preparations for the 16th China-ASEAN Expo in Pingxiang, Guangxi, on Friday.
"This is the beginning of good cooperation. We hope this cooperation will be able to increase the export of Indonesian products to China," he said in a written statement released on Sunday.
He made it clear the meeting this time is a follow up to his previous meeting with the Chinese minister of general administration of customs in Beijing to discuss free trade zones in the two Chinese provinces of Guangxi and Fujian.
He said the two free trade zones may serve as a gateway for the export of Indonesian semi-finished swallow bird nests, tropical fruits and other products to China since the two provinces have special characteristics as free trade zones.
"Pingxiang City in Guangxi Province and Fujian Province receive privileges from the Chinese government as special economic zones. The two cities can receive various commodities to be processed into goods and may serve as a gateway for Indonesian products to the Chinese market," he said.
Earlier, Lukita and Fanghong visited the land border between China and Vietnam in Piangxiang which serves as land route for the entry of export commodities from ASEAN member states such as Thailand and Vietnam to China .
"We must be able to take optimum advantage of potential opportunities to export Indonesian products to China since China gives a chance to Indonesia to export a wide range of products to China,"Lukita said.
