The electric vehicles comprise motorcycles, cars, taxis, buses, and three-wheeled public transportation mode bajaj, he stated at the Jakarta City Hall on Friday evening.
The carnival will be recorded in the Indonesian Record Museum (MURI) album as the one with several types of electric vehicles, he pointed out.
"We have set ourselves a target of attracting 470 vehicles to enliven the carnival. We will also propose the inclusion of the carnival in the MURI record for the category of carnival with many types of electric vehicles," he remarked.

However, the Jakarta city administration has, until now, registered 315 electric vehicles of different types to take part in the carnival. Hence, he called on Jakarta’s residents with electric vehicles to participate in the event to be held from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. local time.
"Community support is needed to ensure the success of the event. Hence, it does not entirely depend on the government, and public support is direly needed," he stated.
In addition to an environment-friendly vehicle parade, the event will feature an array of artists and singers that will regale the public.
To ensure the event is a success, the Jakarta administration secretary issued Instruction Number 98 of 2019 on organizing the Jakarta Blue Sky Carnival on October 9, 2019.
