University of Indonesia’s (UI’s) Faculty of Administrative Science (FIA) organized the Third International Conference on Administrative Science, Policy, and Governance Studies (3rd ICAS PGS) and Fourth International Conference on Business Administration and Policy (4th ICBAP).

The 3rd ICAS PGS and 4th ICBAP were held in Depok, West Java, on Oct 30-31, 2019.

Eko Prasojo, dean of UI's FIA, expounded that the ICAS PGS this year explored opportunities and bolstered the administrative reform strategy deemed crucial to promote competitiveness and innovation in the Industry 4.0 revolution era.

"These conferences, attended by over 100 domestic and foreign experts and academicians, are expected to serve as a networking hub for the dissemination of information pertaining to various latest studies in administrative science," Rifelly Dewi Astuti, the UI spokesperson, remarked here on Thursday.

Themed “Strengthening Strategic Administrative Reform Policy to Promote Competitiveness and Innovation in Industrial Revolution 4.0: Opportunities and Challenges," the 3rd ICAS PGS was jointly supported by the Indonesian Fiscal and Tax Administration Association (IFTAA), Indonesian Business Administration Association (AIABI), and Indonesian Association For Public Administration (IAPA).

Among key speakers of the conferences were Prof. Mark Considine from the University of Melbourne, Australia; Professor Lee Burns from the University of Sydney, Australia; Prof. Harald Fuhr from the University of Postdam, Germany; and Noni Purnomo, MBA, the director of Blue Bird, Indonesia.

Dr. Mark Considine, in his paper, shed light on "The Digital Delivery of Public Services: Assessing Opportunities and Risks in a New Era," while Prof. Lee Burns spoke on "BEPS and The Taxation of Digital Transaction."

Coinciding with the international conferences, the UI also organized a soft launch of the Dual Master Degree Program in Public Policy and Management, jointly managed by the FIA of UI and the University of Melbourne.

Under this Dual Master Degree Program, students will study for a year at UI and another year at the University of Melbourne, Australia.
