Furthermore, the award which is presented on the National Day of Loving Flora and Fauna is expected to encourage people, especially millennials, to show more concern for biodiversity.
Yudhoyono expressed his gratitude for the award presented to his late wife who passed away in early June of this year.
“I suppose she is now smiling happily, peacefully, and also thankful for this,” Yudhoyono said.
“What she had been done for 10 years of being the first lady is now counted as part of history. She began the action with love and passion of the environment, plantations, flora, fauna, and life itself,” he noted.
