Jakarta (ANTARA News) - First Lady Ani Yudhoyono has delivered three smart ships for remote areas to operate in Tanjung Pinang for Bangka-Belitung Islands, Makassar for Sulawesi Island and Jayapura for Papua Island.

During the ceremonial event at the Headquarter of Trans-Marine Command in Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta on Tuesday, First Lady was also accompanied by several members of the Solidarity of Unified Cabinet Ministers` Wives (SIKIB).

Those three smart ships were provided by the government as the facilitation of SIKIB as part of "Indonesia Pintar" or smart Indonesia program and will be operated by the Navy to reach the community in the remote areas on the information access.

First Lady Ani Yudhoyono has officially delivered those three smart-ships to Commander of Tanjung Pinang Naval Base (Lantamal) IV, Commander of Makassar Naval Base (Lantamal) VI and Commander of Jayapura Naval Base (Lantamal) X.

"Those smart-ships will be functioned as the mobile libraries to reach the small islands and facilitated with books and internet access for as the learning center for the communities whom had barriers in communication facilitation," said First Lady.

Besides those three smart-ships, The First Lady was also delivered four smart-cars to Commander of Kupang Naval Base (Lantamal) VII, Commander of Merauke Naval Base (Lantamal) XI, Commander of Military Regiment Command 012/Teuku Umar in Sabang, Aceh Darussalam Province, and Commander of Military Regiment Command 131/Santiago in Miangas City, Talaud Region.

All those smart-cars are free accessed and will be equipped with knowledge books, props and information technology tools connected with internet as mobile libraries for pre-school children to high school students.
