We must issue a travel warning which is rather harsh so that Indonesians do not go to the region. This is to avoid the virus infection
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) Ahmad Muzani has urged the Indonesian government to issue a travel advisory for Indonesians visiting Wuhan. "We must issue a travel warning which is rather harsh so that Indonesians do not go to the region. This is to avoid the virus infection," Ahmad Muzani said at the Indonesian parliament building here on Friday.

The travel warning is not necessary for the entire territory of the People's Republic of China, but only for Wuhan, so that Indonesian citizens doing business in China would not go to the city from where the virus originated, Muzani stated.

Muzani, the Gerindra Party secretary general, also asked the government to stop importing consumer goods, such as fruit and poultry, from Chinese cities where coronavirus is endemic.

"For prevention, yes, all kinds of poultry and fruits from the city should be temporarily stopped and evaluated," he said.
