Karawang, W Java (ANTARA) - Floods submerged thousands of hectares of paddy fields in Karawang District, West Java Province, over the past week, according to the local agriculture office.

Quoting data from the Karawang District Disaster Mitigation Office (BPBD), he said that the flooding affected 29 sub-districts over the past week owing to high rainfall that caused several rivers to overflow their banks.
