"We gather all hospital directors in Jakarta - 190 hospitals. We invite speakers from the Sulianti Saroso Infectious Disease Hospital and the Ministry of Health to speak about the disease and to explain to all hospital leaders, so that all have the same understanding and protocol while finding (COVID-19) cases in Jakarta," Baswedan noted in a statement here on Friday.
During the meeting also attended by representatives of doctors and hospital organizations, Baswedan affirmed that it would offer the momentum to remind the public and all health service providers to always prioritize preventive efforts against diseases.
Hence, all related parties are expected have the same level of preparedness and understanding to act, so that the people of Jakarta can derive peace.
The Jakarta provincial government will always provide up-to-date and transparent information through its COVID-19 Response Team.
To boost public confidence, the Jakarta administration is making all-out efforts to protect its citizens, including managing the fulfillment of basic necessities and the availability of medical equipment logistics.
The governor lauded the Health Service and its entire staff, hospital directors, professional organizations, and all health workers that had made all-out efforts in providing health services for Jakarta residents.
"We also laud the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia for providing technical direction for the prevention and control of COVID-19," he stated.
The governor also praised health workers who are, in fact, the vanguards in dealing with this outbreak and have the highest risk for exposure.
