As many as 21 ODPs and PDPs have returned home to self-isolate.
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The number of coronavirus patients at the Wisma Atlet Emergency Hospital in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta declined to 515 as of 8 a.m. local time on Tuesday from 524 the day before, a spokesperson said.

"The number of patients declined by nine to 515 on Tuesday," chief of the Combined Defense Region Command I, Vice Admiral Yudo Margono, said in a written statement released on Tuesday.

The 515 patients include 321 men and 194 women.

He said some people under surveillance (ODP) and patients under surveillance (PDP) have been asked to self-isolate at home for at least 14 days after being discharged from the hospital.

"As many as 21 ODPs and PDPs have returned home to self-isolate," he said.

Compared to Monday, the number of PDPs has declined to 165 from 187 and ODPs to 58 from 63, he said.

He said the number of people testing positive for COVID-19 has reached 292, up 18 compared to 274 on Monday.

Jakarta still has the highest number of coronavirus cases out of the 34 provinces in the country, with the number of confirmed cases reaching 1,232 as of Monday (April 6, 2020).

Indonesia has reported 2,491 coronavirus cases as of 12 p.m. Monday (April 6, 2020), with 192 patients recovering and 209 others dying of the infection.

The Wisma Atlet Emergency Hospital, which was inaugurated on March 23, 2020, is housed in the same building which had accommodated thousands of athletes during the 2018 Asian Games.

Maj. Gen. Eko Margiyono had revealed earlier that in the event of a continued rise in the number of COVID-19 cases, two additional towers in the building complex would be turned into treatment rooms.

The government has converted two towers — number six and seven — at the Wisma Atlet complex into a maintenance area. Another tower is being used to provide accommodation to health workers, volunteers, and nurses, while one tower is serving as the center of the task force's operations. (INE)
