Hopefully, the decline in the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Bogor City would suggest a slow pace of COVID-19 transmission.
Bogor (ANTARA) - Bogor City in West Java has not registered any confirmed case of the novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the past week, a spokesperson said.

The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the city has remained at 93, and so has the death toll (14), spokesperson for Bogor City’s COVID-19 task force, Sri Nowo Retno, said in Bogor on Saturday. Retno is also chief of the Bogor City Health Office.

She said four people who tested positive for COVID-19 have recovered in the past week.

Accordingly, the number of positive COVID-19 patients being treated at hospitals has declined to 61 from 65, as of Saturday (May 9, 2020), she added.

"Hopefully, the decline in the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Bogor City would suggest a slow pace of COVID-19 transmission," she remarked.

However, the curve of patients under surveillance (PDPs) is still moving up, she noted.

The number of PDPs has risen by 55 to 295 in the past week from 240 earlier, she informed.

On Saturday alone, the number of PDPs increased by eight, while two patients died, and five others were discharged after making a complete recovery.

Retno said one PDP was admitted to the hospital on Saturday, taking the total to 107 patients.

The number of people under surveillance (ODPs) for COVID-19 has been recorded at 1,190 as of Thursday. Of the total, 1,085 ODPs have been monitored and 105 others are still being monitored, she revealed.
