The prayers was followed by 10 people as allowed by the agency's small committee for Eid al-Fitr prayers, BNPB's chief expert Egy Massadiah said in a written statement released on Sunday.
To avoid contracting coronavirus, they performed prayers by keeping a physical distance of two meters in accordance with the government's recommendation.
Acting as a priest (imam) of the Eid prayers was Vice Secretary General of the Indonesian Ulemas Council (MUI) Nadjamuddin Ramly who spoke of new normal life. .
The new normal life is created by making people accustomed to health protocol as personal character that will evolve into new cultural movement among Muslims in particular and Indonesian nation in general.
The new cultural movement will give birth to the higher level of civilization when mankind lead a healthy lifestyle and reconstruct their future in a systemic and sustainable manner, he said.
"The health protocol is a smart, pithy and enlightening idea to face the coronavirus pandemic," he said.
