May God bless all the families of its victims. The world is now grieving over what had happened in Beirut.
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesian Muslim organization Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) offered condolences over a massive explosion that rocked Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, on Tuesday, August 4, and affirmed that the world was grieving.

"May God bless all the families of the victims. The world is now grieving over what occurred in Beirut," Secretary General of PBNU Helmy Faishal Zaini told the press in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Zaini urged Indonesians to offer assistance in any form to the people in Beirut while also calling on the government to play an active role through diplomatic measures and send support and aid to Lebanon.

"Apart from that, we laud the Indonesian government for having taken prompt measures to protect our citizens in Lebanon. I am optimistic of several parties extending international aid and cooperation, so that those in Lebanon can recover," Zaini emphasized.
