I call on all parties related to the industry and MSMEs and higher education institutions to capitalize on the momentum offered by industrial estate development
Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has sought synergy among MSMEs and higher education institutions and industries during industrial estate development for leapfrogging.

"I call on all parties related to the industry and MSMEs and higher education institutions to capitalize on the momentum offered by industrial estate development," Jokowi stated while inaugurating Diponegoro University's vocational school building from the Bogor Presidential Palace, West Java, on Wednesday.

To this end, the president called for innovation and cooperation models to continually be developed.

"Each party must be open to change and to find new ways and new models of cooperation that are mutually beneficial and generate maximum added value for our national economy," he stated.

The government is working hard to build industrial estates, with one of the most important being the industrial area along the northern super corridor of Java Island, Jokowi stated.

"This area has been supported by good logistics, well-connected land toll roads, sea toll roads, and good air connectivity, proximity to airports and seaports, and abundant electricity in Java," he remarked.

The president ensured that industries in regions will be encouraged to cooperate with educational institutions, especially those offering vocational education.

"Moreover, we encourage them to collaborate with micro, small, and medium enterprises to build synergy for boosting national strength," he added.
