The attackers destroyed several facilities at the police station and set them ablaze at around 2 a.m. local time, according to the East Jakarta Fire Information Service.
Several cars and carts parked on the street were reportedly damaged.
Chief of the Ciracas Police Precinct Commissioner Rudy Haryanto and Chief of the Operation Section of the East Jakarta Fire Department were unavailable for comments on the incident.
The attack was the second of its kind to have occurred since December 11, 2018, when a group of unidentified people also attacked the police station.
Chief of the Public Relations Services of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police Commissioner Yusri Yunus stated that the police were yet probing possible links between the two incidents.
"We are yet investigating it," he remarked.
Yunus noted that some 100 people were involved in the attack on the police station early Saturday.
The mob attacked several facilities, including an official car of the deputy chief of the Ciracas police precinct, a bus, and the police station's fence, causing financial losses to the police.
Two police patrol officers sustained injuries after being attacked by unidentified people.
"The victims are being treated at the Police Hospital," he stated.
