The KPK has again taken preventive efforts and cut the chain of COVID-19 transmission at the KPK building compound by conducting swab tests of RT-PCR (Reverse Transcriptase-Polymerase Chain Reaction) on its employees and other parties working at theJakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) again conducted swab tests on all its employees at the office to break the chain of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
"The KPK has again taken preventive efforts and cut the chain of COVID-19 transmission at the KPK building compound by conducting swab tests of RT-PCR (Reverse Transcriptase-Polymerase Chain Reaction) on its employees and other parties working at the KPK office," Ali Fikri, acting spokesman for KPK, noted in a written statement released on Monday.
Swab testing for COVID-19 will be conducted from Monday to Thursday at the meeting hall on the third floor and the rear lobby of the KPK building from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. local time, he stated.
KPK employees, who have undergone swab tests, are mandated to work from home until the announcement of the swab test results, he remarked.
As per the COVID-19 data accrued from March to August 2020, a total of 44 KPK employees have tested positive for COVID-19, with 19 of them recovering from the disease, he remarked.
Currently, 25 employees have tested positive for COVID-19, of which 22 are undergoing self-isolation and one receiving intensive treatment at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital in East Jakarta.
"(The others are) two detainees comprising one, who is self-isolating at the KPK detention house C (of the old KPK building) while the other one is being treated at the Kramatjati Hospital in East Jakarta," he stated.
The KPK had earlier adopted precautionary measures to contain the spread of COVID-19 by spraying disinfectant in working rooms and outside the KPK building and conducting rapid and swab tests.
