"Later, we will internally evaluate the KPK staffing system," Ghufron revealed here on Saturday.
The latest resignation of a KPK official was the agency’s Public Relations Bureau Head, Febri Diansyah, who had put in his papers on Sept 18, 2020.
Febri Diansya, former spokesman of the KPK, stated that the rationale behind his decision to leave the KPK was since the agency had changed owing to political and legal conditions.
Diansya spoke of it being difficult for him to take a decision to leave his colleagues, who had chosen to remain in the agency and fight corruption. However, Diansya believed that his contribution would be more significant if he were to fight corruption through advocacy from outside the agency.
A total of 157 KPK employees resigned during the 2016-2020 period.
In 2016, 46 people, comprising 16 permanent employees and 30 non-permanent employees, had tendered their resignation.
In 2017, as many as 26 people comprising 13 permanent employees and 13 non-permanent employees, had resigned.
In 2018, some 31 people comprising 22 permanent employees and nine non-permanent employees resigned.
In 2019, a total of 23 people constituting 14 permanent employees and nine non-permanent employees had tendered their resignation.
During the January-September 2020 period, 31 people comprising 24 permanent employees and seven non-permanent employees resigned.
"The reasons for resignation vary. However, most of them want to build a career outside the KPK agency," acting KPK spokesman Ali Fikri noted. Related news: Febri Diansyah resigns as KPK employee
