Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia has reported 4,294 additional coronavirus infections in the past 24 hours, which has taken the country’s total case count to 328,952 as of Saturday, according to the Task Force for COVID-19 Response.

With 3,814 people recovering from the novel coronavirus disease, the total recoveries have reached 251,481, the task force noted in a report released on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the death toll has risen to 11,765, with 88 people succumbing to the disease in the past 24 hours.

The government is currently monitoring the health of 151,652 suspected COVID-19 patients.

According to the task force, 42,668 specimens have been examined in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of specimens examined as of Saturday to 3,726,476.

Among the 34 provinces in the country, Jakarta is still leading in the number of new cases, with 1,259 cases reported on Saturday, followed by Central Java with 410 cases, East Java with 310 cases, West Java with 268 cases, and West Sumatra with 245 cases.

However, Jakarta has also recorded the highest recovery rate of 1,282, followed by West Java (378), East Java (305), and Central Java (270).

The highest number of deaths have been recorded in Central Java (17), followed by Jakarta (16), and West Java (10) on Saturday.

Cumulatively, the number of recoveries in Jakarta is pegged at at 69,110, East Java at 39,913, and Central Java at 18,097. The highest death toll has been recorded in East Java at 3,404, followed by Jakarta (1,871), and Central Java (1,499).
