Jakarta (ANTARA) - Some 60 to 70 percent of districts and cities, or around 397 districts and cities in Indonesia recorded below 100 active cases of COVID-19, according to the Task Force for COVID-19 Response.

"Hence, the total is approximately 60 to 70 percent. This is the absolute count of cases," Dr Dewi Nur Aisyah, spokesperson of the Task Force, noted in a press conference at Graha BNPB here on Wednesday.

Of the total 514 districts and cities across Indonesia, 32.3 percent, or around 166 districts and cities, recorded between 11 and 50 active cases of COVID-19.

"Hence, 11-50 cases of people are sick (in those 166 districts and cities). This is the biggest proportion (out of a total of 514 districts and cities)," he pointed out.

Moreover, of the total figure, 114 districts and cities, or some 22.18 percent, turned out to have recorded between one and 10 active cases of COVID-19.

"Until this point, we can actually see that there are already about 54 percent (districts/cities), with active cases below 50," Aisyah noted.

Furthermore, 105 districts and cities, or 20.42 percent, recorded between 101 and 1,000 active cases of COVID-19. Moreover, 82 other districts and cities, or around 15.95 percent, recorded between 51 and 100 active cases of COVID-19.

Some 4.09 percent, or 21 districts and cities, no longer have any active cases of COVID-19, and 2.72 percent, or 14 districts and cities, have not recorded any COVID-19 cases since the onset of the disease.

Meanwhile, from the 514 districts and cities, 12 of them, or some 2.33 percent, recorded over one thousand active cases of COVID-19.
