This (budget realization) was expedited during the past few months
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Finance Ministry has realized 52 percent, or Rp361.5 trillion, of the Rp695.2 trillion budget allotted under the National Economic Recovery (PEN) program, as of October 26, 2020, an official said.

"This (budget realization) was expedited during the past few months," head of the ministry's Fiscal Policy Agency, Febrio Kacaribu, said during a webinar on state finance here on Wednesday.

Kacaribu elaborated that the budget realization for the health sector has reached Rp30.74 trillion out of the total allotment of Rp87.55 trillion, while spending on social protection has touched Rp174.06 trillion out of the allotted Rp203.90 trillion.

Of the Rp106.11 trillion allotted for ministerial/institutions and local government, Rp28.61 trillion has been realized, while Rp35.49 trillion of the Rp120.61 trillion allotted for business incentives has been utilized, he informed. Of the Rp123.46 trillion set aside for supporting MSMEs, Rp92.6 trillion has been realized, he added.

Budget realization in October, 2020 was expected to slightly flatten as funds for some programs have already been fully absorbed, such as the family Hope Program, rice assistance, and Pre-Employment Card program, he stated.

Funds for some other programs will be disbursed in November, 2020, including the subsidy for workers earning a salary of less than Rp5 million, he said.

“Every week, we will monitor and evaluate which program has run effectively and reached the target in the community,” Kacaribu added. (INE)
