Jakarta (ANTARA) - Incessant heavy rain that had fallen in Jakarta since Sunday morning, had triggered floods in seven Neighborhoods (RT) and 15 roads, according to the Jakarta Disaster Mitigation Office (BPBD).

"There are seven RTs and 15 road points being flooded until Sunday afternoon, due to high rainfall," the Jakarta M Insyaf in a short message to journalists in Jakarta, Sunday afternoon.

Of the flood-affected neighborhoods, four are located in East Jakarta and three in North Jakarta.

"The flood waters reach a height of ranging from 10-15 cm, to 25-45 cm," he said.

The seven flood-affected neighborhoods are located Kapuk Muara in North Jakarta, and Malaka Sari as well as Pondok Kelapa in East Jakarta.

Floods were also reported of swamping residential areas in Bekasi City, which shares a border with East Jakarta, on Sunday.
