From the start, the government has opened and provided four main channels for the wider community to provide inputs and convey aspirations
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia's government is expediting completion of 54 regulations derived from the Job Creation Law, comprising 49 governmental and five presidential regulations, to boost job creation and ease-of-doing business, Coordinating Economic Affairs Minister Airlangga Hartarto stated.

During the statement made in Jakarta on Sunday, the minister noted that the government had offered room for the people to gather their inputs and to take into account their aspirations in drafting derivative regulations on the Job Creation Law.

"From the start, the government has opened and provided four main channels for the wider community to provide inputs and convey aspirations," Hartarto noted in a statement.

The four main channels include the aspiration absorption team (TSA) and aspiration absorption events, as well as through official letters to the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs and related ministries or agencies.

Up until January 25, a total of 112 web-form inputs were received from the general public through the Job Creation Law portal and posts and 48 inputs via e-mail.

Some 4.88 million people were recorded to have accessed the portal.

Inputs through an aspiration gathering event conducted offline in 15 regions across Indonesia had yielded 38 input files.

Aspirations through the absorption team were recorded to result in 227 input files.

Moreover, 72 input files were received through official letters send to the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs as well as to related ministries and institutions.

Coordinating Minister Hartarto expressed hope that the law would encourage the creation of government services that are more efficient, simple, and certain, through the application of set norms, standards, procedures, and criteria.

In addition, the Job Creation Law encourages job availability, offers ease in business licensing, and encourages people to start new businesses.

Moreover, it encourages the strengthening and empowering of micro and small businesses as well as encompasses efforts to avert and stamp out corruption through an integrated electronic system.
