Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Attorney General's Office (AGO), on Monday, questioned five witnesses in an alleged graft case pertaining to the management of finance and investment fund at the Workers Social Security Agency (BPJS-TK).

"Five witnesses have been questioned in the BPJS-TK case," Chief of the Law Information Center at the Attorney General's Office Leonard Eben Ezer Simanjuntak noted in a written statement released on Tuesday.

The five witnesses are identified by their initials as MS, ACM, LS, PBK, and RM. MS is the person in charge at PT Batavia Prosperindo Aset Manajemen, ACW is the director of PT Ashmore Asset Management, LS is the director of PT Batavia Prosperindo Aset Manajemen, PBK is the director of PT BNI Sekuritas, and RM is the money market dealer of BPJS-TK.

"The investigation of the witnesses is aimed at finding legal facts and collecting evidence for the alleged graft case related to the management of finance and investment fund at BPJS-TK," he remarked.

On Monday (Jan 18, 2021), investigating prosecutors conducted a search of the BPJS-TK Office in South Jakarta and seized extensive data and several documents.

The AGO began investigating witnesses on Tuesday, Jan 19, 2021.

No suspects have been named in the alleged graft case. (INE)
