The toll road will be connected to the Serpong-Kunciran toll road and the Cinere-Jagorawi toll road, which are both operational.

The toll road is expected to become operational as soon as it is completed and is being built to improve public accessibility starting from the Serpong (Jombang), Serua, Ciputat, Pamulang, to Pondok Cabe / Cinere areas.

The Serpong - Cinere Toll Road is expected to support the smooth flow of traffic in Greater Jakarta area, namely Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Jabodetabek).

The new toll road is expected to help reduce the traffic load on the JORR I Toll Road, which often experiences traffic snarls.

In addition, the toll road is expected to support logistics and movement of goods and services, especially to speed up the recovery of the country's economy, which has been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The JORR II Toll Road will also improve connectivity for logistics distribution to and from industrial areas around the capital city of Jakarta, such as Banten.
