Jakarta (ANTARA) - Micro-scale public activity restrictions (PPKM) will be implemented concurrently with the COVID-19 testing, tracing, and treatment (3T) formula and supply of basic needs, COVID-19 Handling and National Economic Recovery Committee (KPC-PEN) Chief Airlangga Hartarto stated.

"Each village will establish a post that will conduct its tasks in handling, preventing, educating, and offering operational support (to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic)," Hartarto noted during a virtual press conference here on Saturday.

For conducting COVID-19 testing, the Health Ministry has provided free antigen swab tests for all citizens through health facilities and public health centers (Puskesmas) in their respective regions.

Tracing will be conducted more intensively in all villages by involving the village supervisory non-commissioned personnel (Babinsa/Babinkamtibmas) trained by the Health Ministry.

COVID-19 treatment will involve self-isolation, centered isolation, and treatment at health facilities coordinated by the villages' posts.

"Some 20 kg of rice will be offered per family for the patients that had to undergo a 14-day isolation," Hartarto remarked.

The government, in coordination with the Indonesian military and police, also distributed masks to all villagers. Related news: Govt extends micro-scale social restrictions till March 8
