Jakarta (ANTARA) - E-commerce platform Lazada Indonesia (Lazada) works with Good Doctor Indonesia to facilitate the vaccination of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSME) workers, couriers, logistics workers, and consumers through the Digital Economic Heroes Vaccination Program.

The vaccination program is being held on July 12-27 in the provinces of West Java, Central Java, East Java, North Sumatra, and Bali.

"Currently, Indonesia is experiencing challenges in dealing with the pandemic that has increasingly impacted the people's lives as well as the economy," CEO of Lazada Group and Lazada Indonesia Chun Li stated.

Li expressed optimism that the vaccination program would support the government's agenda to suppress the spread of COVID-19, especially for those working in the logistics area in the digital economy sector, which is the vanguard of the critical sector during this Emergency Public Activity Restrictions (PPKM).

"Lazada and Good Doctor have the same intention to boost vaccination rates in Indonesia. Not only protecting our vanguard in times like these, but we also hope that our economy will bounce back once the pandemic ended," the CEO stated.

Lazada has set a target to vaccinate over 10 thousand Digital Economic Heroes and also the public.

In implementing the vaccination program, Lazada and Good Doctor applied a method proven to reduce crowds and minimize delay from crowding by using a feature from the Good Doctor application. Through the feature, applicants are able to select the registration date and fill in the pre-screening questions required before vaccination.
