She has been declared COVID-19 negative during her deportationDenpasar, Bali (ANTARA) - The Ngurah Rai Immigration Office in Bali has deported a Russian national for resisting a self-isolation order, as per local regulations, after testing positive for COVID-19 in a PCR test.
The Russian national has been identified as Anzhelika Naumenok.
"She has been declared COVID-19 negative during her deportation. The officers beforehand forced her to undergo self-isolation until her COVID-19 test result turned negative," Law and Human Rights Ministry Bali Office head Jamaruli Manihuruk said here on Wednesday (July 21).
In consonance with the Bali Province Municipal Police (Satpol PP) recommendation and results of an investigation conducted by the immigration office, the foreigner was deported from Indonesia, in accordance with Article 75 of the Immigration Law no. 6/2011, he informed.
On Wednesday (July 21), immigration officers put Naumenok on a Citilink flight from Ngurah Rai International Airport, Denpasar to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Jakarta before transferring her to a Turkish Airlines flight bound for Moscow, Russia.
Naumenok had tested positive for COVID-19 in a PCR test at Udayana University Hospital in Jimbaran, Badung, Bali on July 4, 2021. Despite her diagnosis, officials said, she refused to self-isolate and continued to engage in normal activities with locals without wearing a mask, which was in violation of the health protocols regulated under Bali Governor Regulation no. 10/2021.
The authorities later ordered the municipal police to force her to comply with the self-isolation order by placing her at Ibis Hotel in Kuta. During her self-isolation period, her passport was confiscated by the immigration office.
After she was declared COVID-19 negative by the Bali Province Health Office, Naumenok was taken by the municipal police to the immigration office for questioning on July 15, 2021.
During the investigation, it was found that her stay permit had expired on July 10, 2021, while her e-Visa was valid until August 6, 2021. She had arrived in Indonesia in February, 2020, officials said.
