Mojokerto, Jatim (ANTARA) - The Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda) of Mojokerto District, East Java, has urged companies to provide centralized isolation facilities for employees.

Mojokerto District Head Ikfina Fahmawati stated here Thursday that the Forkopimda had offered several suggestions and recommendations on tightening the enforcement of health protocols in the industrial environment.

She directly observed the implementation of health protocols at two food and beverage factories -- PT. Yakult and PT. Aice -- in the Ngoro Industrial Park (NIP) area of Ngoro Sub-district on Wednesday.

During the visit to the companies, Fahmawati was accompanied by other Forkopimda members. They are Mojokerto Police Chief Adjunct Sen.Coms Dony Alexander, Commander of the Military District 0815 Lieutenant Colonel Beni Asman, and Mojokero District's Head of Public Prosecutors Gaos Wicaksono.

"The steps include the health checklist, health security system covering shift hours, employees entrance, working situation in the production room, rest area, places of worship, home going procedure, and the employees' health status tracking," she expounded.

As head of the COVID-19 Task Force in Mojokerto District, Fahmawati said one of the areas that she emphasized the most was the regulation of centralized isolation facilities provided by the company.

"This regulation refers to Circular of the Industry Ministry of the Republic of Indonesia Number 3 of 2021 concerning Operations and Mobility of Industrial Activities during the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency," she remarked.

She noted that the government currently did not allow self-isolation. Instead, it encouraged patients to be isolated in a centralized place to make them easily get monitored.

Fahmawati also remarked that the district government was preparing a centralized isolation area named "Mojokerto District Covid-19 Health Center". The facility for asymptomatic patients would be built at the Claket Training Building, Pacet Sub-district.

"We will provide around 202 beds and other facilities. For oxygen availability, we ensure it is sufficient for COVID-19 patients in Mojokerto District," she stated. Related news: Industry Ministry prepares self-isolation facilities for 500 patients
