Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Communications and Informatics (Kominfo) is aiming to enroll another 40 thousand participants into the Digital Talent Scholarship program to reach the total target of 100 thousand participants.

"We have managed to enroll 60 thousand participants in August (2021). We hope that by September, October, and November, we can enroll (another) 40 thousand," head of research and human resources at the ministry, Hary Budiarto, said at an online press conference, accessed from here on Friday.

The number of participants joining the Digital Talent Scholarship program this year is based on data by the ministry as of August 10, 2021, he added.

The ministry has also opened the third batch for this year's Digital Talent Scholarship program and is planning to launch it on August 23, he informed.

In the third stage of this year's program, training will be offered by the Government Transformation Academy, Digital Entrepreneurship Academy, and the Thematic Academy, he said.

At the Government Transformation Academy, the ministry will provide training in the use of digital device and media, Budiarto said.

Meanwhile, at the Digital Entrepreneurship Academy, digital entrepreneurship and marketing training will be offered, he added.

At Thematic Academy, the ministry will provide training to elementary as well as middle school teachers, he said.

The number of participants for the third stage of Digital Talent Scholarship is 4,200, he informed.

The ministry has divided the digital talent program into three stages, Budiarto said.

At the basic stage, the ministry will provide digital literacy training. The number of participants enrolled for the digital literacy program is the highest for the entire program, which has 12,448,750 participants, he informed.

The Digital Talent Scholarship at the intermediate level is targeting 100 thousand participants, he said.

At the expert level, a Digital Leadership Academy will provide intensive training to three hundred participants, comprising civil state staff and private corporation leaders.
