The discovery of oil and gas (deposits) in Fanny-2 is evidence of the new idea and spirit in doing (exploring) old fields, such as the OSES Block, which has given a positive result.Jakarta (ANTARA) - State-owned oil and gas company Pertamina through its subsidiary, PT Pertamina Hulu Energi Offshore Southeast Sumatra, has announced that it has discovered oil and gas deposits in Seribu Islands off North Jakarta's coast.
The oil and gas deposits were found in the Fanny-2 well in the Central Business Unit (CBU) district of the OSES block, or exactly in the Angel Cluster exploration complex, 2 kilometers west of Sebira island in Seribu Islands, Permaina's director of upstream subholding exploration, Medi Kurniawan, said in a press statement released on Tuesday.
"The discovery of oil and gas (deposits) in Fanny-2 is evidence of the new idea and spirit in doing (exploring) old fields, such as the OSES Block, which has given a positive result," he remarked.
Pertamina started drilling at the Fanny-2 well on March 13, 2021. The drilling activity was completed in three months, or on June 24, 2021, he informed.

Medi said the drilling was aimed at confirming the volume of oil and gas deposits in the structure.
Pertamina said it found the oil and gas deposits in the lower zelda layer 44 (DST#2), which streams 4.95 MMSCFD of gas and 241 BCPD of condensate on choke 28/64. In addition, it said it has also found oil deposits through the circulation process on the opening of the middle zelda layer in DST#3.
"The discovery of Fanny-2 well will hopefully lead to a success in drilling other exploration wells. Angel Cluster still holds three prospects, of which the drilling will be executed in Nani, Villani, and Tati areas between 2022 and 2023," Medi said.
