"The progress in revitalization for the first and second stage has reached 67.83 percent in line with the project’s scheduled target," Kurnaen stated here, Monday.
The two revitalization project phases are handled by the Jakarta regional-owned enterprise PT Jakarta Propertindo, according to Kurnaen.
The work to construct the Amir Hamzah Mosque and a parking building included in the first phase of revitalization had reached 97-percent completion. The mosque has been functional after Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan inaugurated the structure on July 3, 2021, while the parking building is yet to be functional, Kurnaen added.
Construction of the multi-purpose 14-storey Gedung Panjang has entered the finishing stage, with a current completion rate of 96.25 percent, she noted.
Kurnaen reported that the second stage of the revitalization project, which commenced on March 2021, had entered the 28th week, with a progression rate of 31.76 percent. The project is planned for nine months, and the completion date is expected in December 2021.
The Wisma Seni building, Annex Gallery, Graha Bhakti Budaya performing arts theatre, an open-air auditorium, and Jakarta Planetarium and Observatory are among the structures to be revitalized in the second stage, she stated.
Kurnaen elaborated that the work to revitalize Wisma Seni had reached 27.47-percent completion, while the revitalization of Annex Gallery was 70.71-percent complete, Graha Bhakti Budaya theatre had reached 40.26-percent completion, and the open-air auditorium was 24.59-percent complete.
"We are optimistic that the progress in the two revitalization phases would not veer away from the planned schedule and be completed by the end of the year. A relaunch ceremony would take place to inaugurate the revitalized Taman Ismail Marzuki," Kurnaen stated.
