Based on a written statement received from the Center for Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics (BBMKG) Region I Medan here on Tuesday, the 27 hotspots were detected based on the monitoring of sensors via Tera, Aqua, SNPP, and NOAA20 satellites.
Out of the total 27 hotspots, 13 hotspots were observed in Dairi District, one in Humbang Hasundutan, 11 in Karo, and two in Sibolga.
Meanwhile, the weather on Tuesday afternoon was cloudy with light rainfall in Nias Islands, Central Tapanuli, Pakpak Bharat, Humbahas, South Tapanuli, Mandailing Natal, Samosir, and Toba.
Light to moderate rain can likely be received in the evenings in Nias Islands, Central Tapanuli, Pakpak Bharat, Humbahas, South Tapanuli, Mandailing Natal, Samosir, Toba, and Asahan.
The air temperature was recorded at 24.0-31.0 degrees Celsius, humidity at 65-98 percent, while the wind blew from the southeast to the west at a speed of 10-30 kilometers per hour.
