One of the efforts to improve the quality of human resources in the agricultural sector is to organize vocational education
Bogor (ANTARA) - Agriculture Minister Syahrul Yasin Limpo has said he is optimistic that millennial farmers can aid development in the agricultural sector to strengthen the national economy, generate rural jobs, and reduce poverty.

Millennial farmers are also expected to take advantage of science and technology, the minister added, according to a press release issued by the public relations office of the Bogor Agricultural Development Polytechnic (Polbangtan), here on Tuesday.

The ministry, he said, is encouraging agricultural development so that the sector can make a greater contribution and strengthen the national economy.

For this, qualified human resources with managerial, entrepreneurial, and organizational capabilities are needed to build a competitive agricultural business, Limpo pointed out.

"One of the efforts to improve the quality of human resources in the agricultural sector is to organize vocational education," he said.

"Farmer institutions are expected to help explore agricultural potential, solve problems in agricultural businesses, and facilitate access to information, markets, capital technology, and other resources," he said.
