The residential areas of Sentral, Dukuh, Pasir Kongsen, Komdik, Palaton, and Cibahbul were submerged in floodwaters reaching heights of between 50 and 80 centimeters.
"So far, we and our families have taken refuge at a patrol post, as the floodwaters have not receded," Soleh, 30, a local resident, stated here on Tuesday.
Soleh is optimistic that the government would immediately distribute aid for residents whose houses were flooded.
Indah, 25, another resident of Rangkasbitung, was also compelled to flee with her children and husband, as her house was flooded.
"We hope for assistance, such as clothes, blankets, and food," she remarked.

Maman, 55, a resident of Palaton area in Muara Ciujung Village, East Rangkasbitung, stated that the poor drainage system and waste management exacerbated the impact of flooding in Rangkasbitung.
Maman urged the government to repair the drainage system and waste management to prevent repeated flooding.
"We are optimistic that the local governments would build drainage facilities," he remarked.
The Lebak Regional Disaster Mitigation Office (BPBD) is striving to address the impacts of flooding by optimizing the use of pumps to draw out water from flooded areas.
"We are optimistic that the floodwaters would recede with the use of vacuum pumps," Andi, a Lebak BPBD officer, remarked.
