DBON will be implemented in five stages from 2021-2045 by the central government and local governments in synergy with other partiesJakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has established the central coordination team for the Grand Design of National Sports (DBON), which will be led by Vice President Ma'ruf Amin.
The establishment of the DBON team has been stipulated in Presidential Regulation (Perpres) No. 86 of 2021 on Grand Design of National Sports, which was signed on September 9, 2021.
According to the Presidential Regulation, accessed on the State Secretariat website here on Monday, it is necessary to carry out long-term national sports development and policies in an integrated and collaborative manner to improve the nation's competitiveness in the field of sports.
According to the website, the development of national sports in an integrated and collaborative manner needs to be supported by policies that synergize with the grand design of national sports and align with national development planning.
As per the regulation, the DBON is a master plan document containing the direction of national sports development policies that need to be implemented effectively, efficiently, with quality, in a measured, systematic, accountable, and sustainable manner within the scope of educational sports, recreational sports, sports achievement, and the sports industry.

The purpose of the DBON is to enhance sports culture in the community; increase the capacity, synergy, and productivity of national sports achievements; and, encourage a sports-based national economy.
According to the website, DBON will be implemented in five stages from 2021-2045 by the central government and local governments in synergy with other parties.
The central coordination team comprises:
1. Chairman: the Vice President;
2. Vice chairman: a minister overseeing coordination, synchronization, and management of ministry affairs pertaining to government activities in the field of human development and culture;
3. Acting chief executive, who is also a member of the team: a minister
4. The members of the team comprise:
1. A minister overseeing government activities in home affairs;
2. A minister overseeing government affairs in the field of law and human rights;
3. A minister overseeing government affairs in the field of religion;
4. A minister overseeing government affairs in the field of state finance;
5. A minister overseeing government affairs in the field of education;
6. A minister overseeing government affairs in the field of health;
7. A minister overseeing government affairs in social affairs;
8. A minister overseeing government affairs in the field of industry;
9. A minister overseeing government affairs in the field of public works and public housing;
10. A minister overseeing government affairs in the field of national development planning;
11. A minister overseeing government affairs in the field of state-owned enterprises; and
12. A minister overseeing government affairs in the field of tourism and government duties in the creative economy field.
The central coordination team will report the results of its duties to the President periodically, at least once a year or at any time found necessary.
The team will be assisted by the provincial and district/city coordination teams in carrying out its tasks.
