Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) stopped by to purchase boiled corn from a street vendor while returning back after inspecting a corn farm in Klamesen Sub-district, Sorong District, West Papua Province on Monday.

The head of state -- accompanied by Speaker of the House of Representatives Puan Maharani and Agriculture Minister Syahrul Yasin Limpo -- immediately tasted the snack as shown in a video uploaded by the Presidential Secretariat YouTube channel that was monitored here on Monday.

Standing beside him, the house speaker reviewed the cuisine. "The cooked one, please," she requested the seller to pick the best one for her.

Meanwhile, the president, dressed in Papuan traditional knitted bag known as ‘noken’, continued to savor the boiled corn he had bought.
