Jayapura, Papua (ANTARA) - The Papua Sports and Youth Affairs Office has established a team tasked with management, maintenance, and security of the arenas after Papua's National Games (PON) and National Paralympic Week 2021 (Peparnas) come to a close.

"In order to nurture sustainability of the venues built for PON and Peparnas, the Papua office, with very limited capabilities, has formed the venue management team," Acting Head of the Papua Province Sports and Youth Affairs Office Alexander Kapisa said as reported on Infopublik in Jayapura on Tuesday.

Kapisa remarked that the team will handle aspects pertaining to the management, maintenance, and safety of the sports venues.

According to Kapisa, the arena management team comprises 47 personnel in charge at various locations, such as the Istora Papua Bangkit, Lukas Enembe Stadium, Aquatic, Shooting, Hockey, and Cricket, as well as several other arenas.
