The current vaccination rate will be pushed up further despite the city being at Level 1 of community activities restrictions, Tangerang Mayor Arief R Wismansyah said here on Tuesday.
The Tangerang city government will focus on the optimization of vaccine centers. This would include the door-to-door system, which is being carried out intensively by health workers at public health centers, he informed.
Wismansyah said that the Tangerang City Hospital is currently providing the Pfizer vaccine to children aged 12 years and above, the elderly, and people with comorbidities.
Residents wishing to avail the service need to register through the vaksinasi.tangerangkota.go.id webpage and will be informed of the schedule online, he informed.
"Residents who have not been vaccinated can come to the hospital and register online," he said.
Meanwhile, 65.4 percent or 967,540 people have received the second dose of the coronavirus vaccination in the city.
The city government has also urged people who have not been vaccinated to visit a vaccination center immediately or report to the local RT or RW and village or sub-district management, he said.
