Community mobility and socio-economic activities have increased, so we need to stay vigilant and continue to expedite vaccinationJakarta (ANTARA) - Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, spoke of the government having continued to accelerate the COVID-19 vaccination program amid increased mobility and economic activities of the community.
"Community mobility and socio-economic activities have increased, so we need to stay vigilant and continue to expedite vaccination," Minister Hartarto affirmed here on Tuesday.
For vaccination outside the Java-Bali region, out of the 27 provinces, five provinces, with achievements above the national average of 57.53 percent, were Riau Islands, Bangka Belitung Islands, North Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, and North Sulawesi.
On the other hand, 22 other provinces had recorded vaccination rates below the national average, so it must continue to be accelerated, Hartarto emphasized.
In terms of the achievement of the second dose of vaccination outside Java-Bali, four provinces recorded achievements above the national average of 35.44 percent: Riau Islands, Bangka Belitung Islands, East Kalimantan, and Jambi.
The 23 other provinces are still recording achievements below the national average and must continue to be accelerated.
Meanwhile, International Travelers (PPI) from foreign countries must undergo quarantine for three days with several requirements, such as having received a negative result for the PCR test upon departure, arrival, and after quarantine. They should also be fully vaccinated before entering Indonesia.
The provisions regarding quarantine will soon be included in COVID-19 Task Force Head's Circular Letter Number 20 of 2021 to be implemented at the earliest.
Domestic Travelers (PPDN) must show the negative results of an antigen test (1x24 hours) for those who have been fully vaccinated or the results of the (3x24 hours) PCR test for those, who have only been vaccinated once.
"The results of this antigen test can be used both for the people within and outside Java-Bali," Hartarto noted.
He highlighted the need for joint supervision to implement strict health protocols in major activities, such as the National Paralympic Week (Peparnas) in Papua, World Superbike (WSBK) in Lombok, Badminton Events (Indonesia Masters, Indonesia Open, and BWF World Tour Finals), and the G20 Meeting.
Meanwhile, the realization of the National Economic Recovery Program (PEN) has reached 60 percent, or Rp448 trillion out of the Rp744-trillion ceiling, and has the potential to shift budget allocations for the health and social protection clusters.
