The number has exceeded our target.
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno has said that the successful implementation of the 2021 Mandalika World Superbike (WSBK) event will require the fulfillment of the vaccination target for West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).

In a statement received here on Wednesday, he informed that his ministry has collaborated with various stakeholders to expedite vaccinations among the community ahead of WSBK.

“Hence, we are working together quickly since WSBK will take place in the next few weeks and President Joko Widodo will review the preparation. The vaccination becomes the main requirement for the success of the international event,” he stated while visiting a vaccination center in Central Lombok District, NTB province.

The racing event would revive tourism and the creative economy sectors, both in Lombok Island and the rest of Indonesia, he affirmed.

In addition, the international event will show the world that Indonesia is ready to host the G20 Summit next year, he remarked.
