The role of KIFA and Mr. Nishimura, as an honorary consul, is alsJakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia and Japan continue to forge mutually beneficial strategic cooperation, Indonesian Ambassador to Japan and Micronesia Federation Heri Akhmadi stated.
Akhmadi made the remarks while attending a reception held by the Kyushu-Indonesia Friendship Association (KIFA) to mark the 76th anniversary of Indonesian Independence in Fukuoka, Japan, on Monday.
“On the 53rd anniversary of diplomatic relations and the 15th anniversary of Indonesia-Japan strategic partnership, mutual understanding and mutually beneficial cooperation remain good. The role of KIFA and Mr. Nishimura, as an honorary consul, is also instrumental in the achievement of this enhanced cooperation,” he noted in a written statement issued by the Indonesian Embassy in Tokyo on Tuesday.

The ambassador praised KIFA for its contribution to close friendship and cooperation between Indonesia and Japan, particularly the Fukuoka Prefecture.
In his speech, Akhmadi also stressed three the potential sectors of fishery, energy, and manpower that Indonesia and Kyusu can develop in future.
Indonesian honorary consul for Fukuoka Nishimura Matsuji expressed gratitude to God that the commemoration of the 76th anniversary of Indonesian independence ran well.

“This is the first time for us to celebrate the Indonesian Independence since COVID-19 broke out two years ago. I hope concrete cooperation between Indonesia and Japan to promote economic cooperation would continue to increase, so that the target of zero carbon emissions would be achieved effectively,” Nishimura Matsuji, concurrently chief of the Kyushu – Indonesia Friendship Association, stated.
The commemoration of the 76th anniversary of Indonesian independence featured West Java's traditional music angklung and Aceh's traditional dance Saman.
