More than 80 million have been completely vaccinated and almost 50 million others have received their first dose.
Kendari (ANTARA) - Some 80 million Indonesians have received the complete vaccination dosage to boost their body immunity against the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic, Government spokesperson for COVID-19 Reisa Broto Asmoro has said.

"More than 80 million have been completely vaccinated and almost 50 million others have received their first dose," Asmoro noted at the COVID-19 and National Economic Recovery Handling Committee (KPCPEN) virtual dialog on YouTube on Wednesday.

According to the COVID-19 Task Force handling data, over 90 percent of Indonesians still wear their mask diligently in public places, she highlighted.

This figure becomes one of the ways to prevent the emergence of the third wave of COVID-19, Asmoro noted.

According to Asmoro, the most prudent precautionary measure against the threat of the third wave was to implement health protocols while concurrently reminding ourselves and the people around us to do the same.

In addition to diligently wearing mask, Asmoro accentuated the importance of maintaining distance and thoroughly washing our hands using soap and flowing water.

“We should make it a habit to wash hands using soap and flowing water for at least 20 seconds to prevent germs from entering our body," she elaborated.
