Laoly received the award because he was one of the leaders who succeeded in encouraging the development of an integrity zone within his administration, the Law and Human Rights Ministry said in a statement here on Monday.
The award from the institution is not his first, but one of many that he has received in the period from 2018 to 2021.
In 2021, it said, Laoly successfully led 55 work units within the Law and Human Rights Ministry to receive integrity zone awards, with 49 work units bagging the corruption-free environment award and 6 work units claiming the clean and helpful bureaucratic environment award.
The latest integrity zone award was presented by Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Minister Tjahjo Kumolo, along with deputy chairman of the National Ombudsman, Bobby Hamzar Rafinus, and deputy chairperson of the Corruption Eradication Commission, Nurul Ghufron, as a token of appreciation for a corruption-free environment (WBK) and a clean and helpful bureaucratic environment (WBBM) here on Monday.
Secretary general of the Law and Human Rights Ministry Andap Budhi Revianto received the award on behalf of the minister and expressed his pride and gratitude for the achievement.
He said he considered the award as a form of the minister's commitment to creating good, clean, and corruption-free public services.
"This achievement is clear evidence of the commitment and consistency of the Law and Human Rights Ministry in upholding the integrity zone. In the future, we will continue to strive to improve public services so that Indonesia becomes a developed country that is free from corrupt practices," he added.
Revianto asked his staff to consider the achievement as a motivation to keep pushing themselves to create a better integrity zone.
"The Law and Human Rights Ministry, be it at the central (level), regional (level), and all technical service units, should not be swayed by this award. All of them must continue to increase the integrity zone, make improvements and internal improvements for better service to the community," he added.
The Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Ministry has been presenting awards for the creation of integrity zones since 2015.
Since 2015, the Law and Human Rights Ministry has won 170 ZI awards, with 150 working units receiving a corruption-free environment award and 20 working units getting the clean and helpful bureaucratic environment award.
