"The temporary data showed (the number of passengers) until 10 a.m. The number will likely increase until the final data at 9 p.m.," the post officer of Christmas 2021 and New Year 2022 at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, Maulana Hady, told ANTARA here.
Based on the data, the 673 passengers consisted of 318 arriving passengers and 355 departing passengers.

In addition, the total flights scheduled at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport on Sunday until 10 a.m., were recorded at 11 consisting of four arrivals and seven departures.
The airport was supposed to stop operation on January 1, 2022 in connection with the planned revitalization. However, state-owned airport operator, Angkasa Pura II, has informed that Halim Perdanakusuma Airport will still regularly operate, according to @halimperdanakusumaairport on Instagram.
"At this time, all departure and arrival flights at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport still operate normally. In case of an operational change in departures or arrivals, the related airlines will notify it (to would-be passengers) one day before the flight at the latest," Angkasa Pura II explained on its Instagram story @halimperdanakusumaairport on Sunday.
One of the passengers, Rina, chose Halim Perdanakusuma Airport to fly to Surabaya without realizing the revitalization news.
"I am going to Surabaya to meet my family, but did not know there is a plan for revitalization," Rina told ANTARA.
To tackle the confusion among the prospective passengers. the airport operator advised them to get updates on the official social media handles of Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, such as its Instagram on @halimperdanakusumaairport.
