Jakarta (ANTARA) - Nadisya Kiara Putri, a seventh-grade student at Bina Insan Mandiri Junior High School (SMP), Kembangan Sub-district, West Jakarta, and many other school students in the Indonesian capital city enthusiastically participate in the 100-percent face-to-face learning (PTM) that began on Monday.

"It is nice to be able to understand the subject material more deeply because the teacher explains it directly, and (I) can meet (my) friends as well," Putri told ANTARA here.

Putri, who was a bronze medallist in the English Olympiad National Smart Student, said that she had experienced many obstacles during online teaching and studying activities (KBM).

Problems with the Internet network were among those obstacles, she said.

"Sometimes, the Internet network is a barrier. It is hard to understand the teacher's explanation," she added.

However, with the implementation of on-site learning, Putri said she now has no reason to worry.

A twelfth-grade student at the 60 state vocational high school (SMKN 60), Diva Ramadhanty, expressed a similar sentiment.

Ramadhanty said she was happy to be able to reunite with her friends after a long time apart due to the pandemic.

"It is nice to see (my) friends again. The nervous feeling does not exist. It is even more fun," she explained.

She also said that students would not have problems observing the health protocols during face-to-face learning in the classroom. According to her, obeying the health protocols is necessary to ensure school activities can run safely and smoothly.

"I also hope that the COVID-19 pandemic will end soon," she remarked.
