"We are currently conceiving (the structure of) the national capital authority, and a presidential regulation will be issued for this purpose," the Presidential Staff Office expert staff, Wandy Tuturoong, stated in a video retrieved from the office in Jakarta on Wednesday.
The presidential regulation will ensure good governance for the national capital, he affirmed.
"Everyone has understood the principle of good governance and its importance, and we have considered this factor as well. However, we must also weigh the importance of public participation at present," the expert staff emphasized.
Residents are encouraged to monitor and provide inputs for authorities in devising the capital authority leadership after the presidential regulation is enacted, he stated.

The expert staff also countered criticism from some members of society and denied that the government had hastily deliberated on and ratified the National Capital Bill.
The bill was passed after being comprehensively discussed by the government and legislature and inputs being sought from relevant stakeholders and experts, he stated.
"The general public must understand that the authority, particularly the National Development Agency, has been intensive in its communication to deliberate on the bill draft, the presidential regulation, and also the development master plan since the earlier period," Tuturoong remarked.
He urged members of the public to participate in the next step of the capital relocation to ensure any inputs from stakeholders will be addressed in its process.
"Cooperation between the public society and the government is vital to ensure success in our efforts to relocate the national capital," the expert staff stated.
