NU must continue to advance with the current digital capabilities and synergize with the nation in economic and social development
Balikpapan, East Kalimantan (ANTARA) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) expressed his gratitude to the national Islamic organization Nahdlatul Ulama's (NU's) commitment to safeguarding the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia and national ideology of Pancasila.

The president's remarks were delivered to participants at NU's 96th anniversary commemoration and inauguration of the organization’s executive committee for the 2022-2027 period in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, on Monday.

Close to its centenary, NU has been successful in exhibiting an amicable face of Islam and Indonesia to the global community, Jokowi remarked.

NU, with almost half of Indonesian Muslims identifying themselves with the organization as well as the extensive domestic and international networks in 100 countries, will also remain one of the greatest assets and potential of Indonesia, he affirmed.
