Solutions to overcome them are necessary to strengthen growth and improvement of the people's prosperity in an inclusive manner. With the expertise of leaders and members of the B20 Digitalization Task Force, we can recommend relatable policies
Jakarta (ANTARA) - State-owned telecommunication giant PT Telkom will lead the 2022 B20 Indonesia's Digitalization Task Force, with focus on accelerating digital inclusion.

"It is an honor to represent the Digitalization Task Force this year, and we look forward to collaborating with a group of individuals from diverse backgrounds (that comprise) 32 countries and more than 22 different industries," PT Telkom President Director Ririek Adriansyah stated here on Friday.

He believes that the B20 Digitalization Task Force can yield positive and sustainable policies through collaboration.

Digital inclusion is one of the main themes that Indonesia is striving to realize during its G20 Presidency hosting. In a bid to include all people in the digital world, collective actions must be taken, including by business players and the world governments.

According to Adriansyah, digital inclusion must be realized, as digitalization has currently changed several human life patterns and interactions. However, amid the flow of digitalization, several communities have not yet enjoyed the benefits of digital technology.

To this end, businesses and governments must actively collaborate to present digital infrastructure that can be accessed by anyone, anytime, and anywhere to eliminate inequality.

The four priorities of the B20 Digitalization Task Force in 2022 are Digitalization for Economic Health and National Resiliency; Digital Infrastructure and Platforms; Digital Entrepreneurship for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs); and Ensuring Safety in Digital Spaces.

These four work priorities were determined after the B20 team observed several challenges in the rapid flow of digitalization.

In addition, these challenges encompass the huge gap in digital access, low digital literacy, small financing for digital infrastructure, and increasing concerns of cyberattacks.

"Solutions to overcome them are necessary to strengthen growth and improvement of the people's prosperity in an inclusive manner. With the expertise of leaders and members of the B20 Digitalization Task Force, we can recommend relatable policies," Adriansyah added.
