The Indonesian government's focus in utilizing the G20 momentum is firstly that we will encourage sustainable and inclusive investmentJakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia will focus on promoting investment opportunities that will support the economic vision in the G20 Trade, Investment, and Industry Working Group, according to Investment Minister and Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Head Bahlil Lahadalia.
According to Lahadalia, Indonesia's presidency in this year G20 Summit should be tapped optimally to realize the economic transformation vision.
"The Indonesian government's focus in utilizing the G20 momentum is firstly that we will encourage sustainable and inclusive investment," he noted at the Inauguration Trade, Investment, and Industry Working Group (TWIIWG) online event on Tuesday.
As a nation, with profuse natural resources, Indonesia should play the leading role in encouraging sustainable investment, he emphasized.

Several sectors currently being expanded by the government encompass renewable energy and mineral downstreaming for provision of raw materials for electric vehicle battery production.
In line with this, the government also encourages fair and eco-friendly investment.
Technologically capable foreign investors should be able to collaborate with national entrepreneurs, so that the added value could be felt domestically, the minister emphasized.

"The third concerns investment that is truly beneficial for entrepreneurs in regions and involvement of MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises)," he noted.
"The president ordered us to not only look at investment in terms of the number or from what countries did it enter. This investment should be a fair one that empowers regional entrepreneurs and MSMEs," he elaborated.
Earlier, Trade Minister Muhammad Lutfi noted that Indonesia will bring up three important points during the G20 TIIWG.
The first concerns figuring out ways to improve the global health architecture, while the next relates to digital transformation, while the last area of focus pertains to green energy and renewable energy utilization.
