President Director of PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk, Teuku Sahir Syahali, remarked that children under the age of 12 were allowed to enter under certain conditions, such as being accompanied by parents and being able to show proof of at least the first shot of COVID-19 vaccination.
While scanning the barcode for check in at the location on the PeduliLindungi application at the Ancol Gate, visitors that had received two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine would have the green tag.
Visitors with the green tag were permitted to enter Ancol Park to accompany their children under 12 years of age.
"We maintain health protocols strictly, both (inside our own company) and for visitors, in particular. This is our commitment as tourism area managers to support the revival of the tourism industry during the pandemic," Syahali remarked.
Currently, Ancol does not offer on-the-spot ticket purchases. Hence, it was recommended that all visitors arrange a visit schedule a few days in advance.
Visitors are required to buy the tickets online through the website www.ancol.com. The method serves as a precautionary measure in case visitors were to run out of entry tickets on their intended day of visit as well as a form of control on the visit quota that is currently limited to 25 percent of the maximum capacity,
In the recreation area, the management has placed limit markings to ensure that visitors maintain their distance at places where crowding may occur, including picnic areas on the beach, toilets, and queues for the attractions.
Ancol has also installed sinks in the area that can be used to wash hands, so that visitors could continue to follow health protocols properly.
Visitors are required to always wear masks and comply with the health protocols, information for which is broadcast over loudspeakers in the Ancol park area.
Moreover, a COVID-19 Task Force team, assisted by the national defense force, police force, and public order officer personnel, routinely patrol the park to remind all visitors about the health protocols.
The Ancol Park recreation area was reopened with mandated health protocol regulations in accordance with the governor's instructions in order to ensure that recreational activities ran smoothly during the pandemic.
Ancol also supports efforts to expedite the vaccination program for children in the age bracket of six to 11 years by facilitating through a Child Vaccine Center on February 12, 2022, at the Ecovention Hall, Allianz Ecopark, Ancol.
This activity was a follow up after the first dose was administered during an event hosted on January 15, 2022.
Ancol collaborated with the Army Boys and Girls Association (HIPAKAD), Kodam Jaya, and several event sponsors during which participants, who had received the second dose of vaccine would later get a recreation ticket.
