"Based on our calculations, this event has also created 11 thousand jobs during the pre-season test," he informed at the G20 Indonesia side event on Monday.
In the next few months, especially during the final event, it is believed that there would be additional income from the event, the minister said.
He then estimated that the 50 thousand jobs could be generated in certain sectors during the 2022 MotoGP series.

"We also believe there will be a sustainable impact on the 10 priority tourism sectors owing to this activity," he added.
The economic development initiated by 2022 MotoGP would also impact surrounding regions, such as West Nusa Tenggara, and nearby areas, apart from improving Lombok itself, Uno said.
The 2022 MotoGP pre-season test went very well, although there are some things that need to be improved, especially the race track and some accommodation preparations, he added.

"However, the rest went smoothly and we are very happy because this MotoGP event is assisting (in terms of) encouraging economic recovery," he remarked.
He said that aside from MotoGP, the Mandalika Special Economic Zone will also host a G20 side event on sustainable development in the tourism sector.
He also mentioned three keys to recovering the tourism sector—innovation, adaptation, and collaboration.
As part of innovation, the ministry is currently developing five Indonesian super-priority tourism destinations, with Mandalika in West Nusa Tenggara among them, he informed. The others are Lake Toba in North Sumatra, Borobudur Temple in Central Java, Labuan Bajo in East Nusa Tenggara, and Likupang in North Sulawesi, he said.
